Feedback from participants
The BRICS Melody project began its history in 2024, laying a solid foundation
for international dialogue. Participants from different countries not only performed
on the same stage, but also became part of a large cultural movement.
"Iran, with its thousand-year history, boasts a rich culture and civilization that have survived the centuries. Our cultural heritage is vast and diverse, it includes music, poetry and architecture. All this played a key role in shaping the Iranian identity. An important part of this heritage is the traditional Iranian music, which reflects the deep emotions, beliefs and philosophy of the people. Iranian instruments overcome language barriers with their soul-stirring sound. You don't have to understand Persian to appreciate the beauty of the rhythm and the emotional power of our music."
Reza Dezaipour
Percussionist, leader of the musical group "Najma" (Iran)
"The music of the United Arab Emirates, based on the poetry of the Bedouins and the rhythms of seafarers, occupies a central place in my work, through which I preserve and glorify our cultural heritage. Attracting young people to play traditional musical instruments such as the Arabic oud is important. As a singer and musician, I consider the BRICS Melody project as a platform to increase their attractiveness to the younger generation."
Saif AlAli
Singer, composer, performer in Arabic oud (UAE)
"I am very pleased to become a part of such a large-scale project, performing on the same stage with outstanding musicians from the BRICS countries. Popularization of traditional musical instruments among young people is one of the main goals in my life. It is important for me to preserve the heritage of our ancestors, so I am very happy to share the culture, melodies and rhythms of the places where I come from. Our goal is to show the younger generation how amazing our musical instruments and music can be. The BRICS Melody project is important because it has helped to bring this issue to international discussion and to appreciate the work of people who dedicate their lives to this cause."
